During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Aug 1 1951 Tampa, Fla Mrs. Carol Russell Crookston, 27, formerly of Ogden, died Sunday in the Tampa Municipal hospital of poliomyelitis. She had been ill four days. Mrs. Crookston was born in Ogden, a daughter of Dr. G Oscar and Cartel Rich Russell. She spent her childhood in Columbus, Ohio. She attended the University of Michigan. On July 8, 1947, she was married to Dr Lynn B Crookston in the LDS Logan temple. Dr Crookston, a native of Logan, is presently in charge of the Topical Fleuride Unit of the public health service in Florida. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Wendy Crookston, Tampa; her parents, a sister, mrs. Edwin Q Cannon, Jr. Salt Lake City; a brother, Robert Rich Russell, student at Brigham Young university and her grandparents, Dr and Mrs. Edward I Rich, Ogden and Mrs. Harry H Russell, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm in Logan. |
