Show the game. It's a wonderful experience, a wonderful training for a boy to be under Mr. Lammers' instruction for the year. These boys will know a lot about music, they will know a lot about co-operation and they will have been so trained and disciplined that they will be able to hold their minds to a definite piece of work for a definite period of time to get results that are mathematically exact and correct. We count this a great gain. LEWIS CHRONICLE. The Lewis Chronicle, an eight-page paper, chock full of school news, came out Thursday. As we are especially interested now in music we copy the opening of an article on "Music Appreciation," by Principal J. W. Wintle. "Music, O how faint, how weak Language fades before thy spell; Why should feeling ever speak When thou can'st breathe her soul so well?" Music is the language of the soul. There is no other mode of expression that takes the place of music. When we are at a loss to express our feelings, we turn to some favorite song or melody which touches the personal experiences in life. This is true of every one, be he cultured or uncultured, or a master in the great field of music."
