After some pause to consolidate, I see only one obstacle that can possibly prevent our economy from a continued expansion and unprecedented prosperity, and this is the drain we are experiencing and may be imposed upon us to support shooting wars somewhere in the world. Without this burden and if we were free from political restrictions by our own governments and others to pursue our business interests as we wished, I ana convinced that the United States businessman can conquer the world economically. We can out-perform our foreign competition in virtually every field. We have the most skilled management, a great edge in research and development, the best and cheapest capital market in the world, and even in most areas the most efficient labor. We have the fundamental strengths and in a world beset with problems and opportunities I am convinced that we are going to prevail and prosper.
