Sociology (BS) Sociology (BS) • Program Prerequisite: Not required for the Sociology major. Sociology Teaching majors must meet the Teacher Education admission and licensure requirements (see Department of Teacher Education). • Minor: Required • Grade Requ i re m ents: A minimum grade o f" C" in courses counted toward the major (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable). Also refer to the general grade requirements for graduation. • Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours are required for graduation, of which 40 must be upper division credit hours (courses numbered 3000 and above). A minimum of 36 Sociology credit hours are required for the major. Transfer students who are majoring in Sociology can transfer up to 18 hours from an acceptable Sociology program. Only 9 of the transferred hours can be lower division.
