Main Street. The principal meat trade of the city is in the hands of George Stanger and W. H. Moulding, both on Fourth Street. L. D. Wilson & Co., corner of Wall and Fifth Streets, deal in lumber, lath, shingles, pickets, house furnishings, etc. They do a large and constantly increasing business. Edwin Dallimore, carpenter and builder, prepares estimates and plans on short notice. Office and workshop, Main Street. Thomas W. Jones and John Holland are the principal merchant tailors of the city. The former is located on Main, the*latter on Fifth Street, and both do a large business. H. B. Scoville has the only broom factory in this part of the country, which is located on Young Street. He makes an excel¬lent article, as all can testify who have used them, and has a profi¬table trade. Thos. Emmett, corner of Seventh and Franklin Streets, makes soda water and ginger ale of superior quality. His orders are con¬stantly' increasing. John Chipp, Fifth Street, on the bench, keeps the only green¬house in this part of the country, in connection with an elegant and well cultivated vegetable and flower garden and nursery. Is pre¬pared for all kinds of orders in his line, to which he promptly attends. Moroni Brown, Main Street, also sells shade and fruit trees in any quantity. W. H.
