With the model he hoped that the Iron Horse would become a symbol of cooperation, friendship, competition, and the tremendous spirit that would hopefully exist between the two schools. The trains help to remind the students of the two railroad companies that worked together in constructing a track across the Uniter States, They had to work together and cooperate to the fullest, along with competing against each other to come in first. That’s the goal that Ben Lomond and Ogden are hoping to reach. The first time the Iron Horse Game was played the Scots came home with a victory. The final score was Scots 7, Tigers 6. The winning touchdown was ran by Ken Butler and the conversion was completed by Dennis Steetler. The Iron Horse was then at it’s true home. Ogden’s studentbody President Bob Doctor presented the trophy to Ben Lomond’s Studentbody President Dennis Steetler. The Iron Horse was the first trophy in our trophy case. Every year after the game the winning team ks one of their tracks according to their school color marking their victory. Ogden paints theirs orange while Ben Lomond paints their’s red white, and blue. At this time Ogden has 13 and Ben Lomond has 6 tracks painted. Ever since the closing of the Stadium’s gates last year the students have been talking about tonight’s game, discussing how effectively the Scots are going to pulverize the Pussies, With the last cheer of victory the team has been waiting to prove once more that the Scots are the best. The team has worked hard and has well earned the chance to prove to Ogden, and the students of Ben Lomond that the Horse is home to stay, So let’s show Ogden just how much spirit this school does have by really putting everything you have got into the cheers tonight. And let’s support our team by having everyone show up at the game. If we want to keep the Iron Horse home we have to get behind our team all the way so.... “Go Scots, With You Fight” occassion. _ enjoys an occa- Kerry said that she is very happy and pleasantly surprised at being chosen as Student of the Month.
