Hayes MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY Weber College offers a Medical Technology program in the Department of Bacteriology and Public Health which enables students to earn a Bachelor's degree and to meet requirements of the Registry of Medical Technologists of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. The program requires three years of college training followed by one year in an approved hospital-administered school of medical technology (12 month training period). A total of 164 135 quarter hours of credit selected from courses in bacteriology, anatomy, zoology, embryology, physiology, chemistry, mathematics and physics will be required to enter a hospital-conducted school for medical technologist. Two such schools affiliated with Weber State College in the training of medical technologists are the Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital School of Medical Technology and the St. Benedict's Hospital School of Medical Technology both of which are conveniently located adjacent to the campus.
