Alexander COMPOSITE MATHEMATICS AND PHYSICAL SCIENCE TEACHING MAJOR Toward meeting the need for certified secondary school teachers of physical science and mathematics, the Division of Mathematics and Physical Science offers a teaching major in composite physical science and mathematics. The composite major requires specified courses in three of the four departments: Chemistry, Geology-Geography, Mathematics, and Physics. At least twenty-seven hours of specified courses must be taken in one department, and at least twenty hours in each of two other departments. The program automatically meets the general education requirements in Physical Science.
