Show Marriott-Slaterville City History July 2018 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History July 2018 Hot, hot and dry! Summer is here and criminal activity has become more prevalent. More people are out on the streets at night this time of year. Vandalism and criminal mischief are increasing in Marriott- Slaterville and the surrounding cities. Mailboxes have been destroyed, yard decorations stolen, vehicles are racing up and down streets, and nuisance parties are keeping residents up into the night. This year has also seen a dramatic increase in burglaries and criminal activity across the county. The Sheriffs Office reminds residents to lock their vehicles and garages. Criminals prey on crimes of opportunity and locking vehicles, doors and closing garage doors dramatically decrease burglary opportunities. Suspicious activities or people should be reported immediately. Marriott-Slaterville is hosting space again this summer for garden markets and garage sales every Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm beginning July 8^^ until Labor Day. There is plenty of parking available with restroom facilities and a playground for the kids. All they ask is that you clean your space up when you are done.
