Are you wanting to have a garage sale and not have to worry about the location and parking? Marriott-Slaterville City is hosting the space so long as you clean-up when you are done. Every Saturday from 11 ;00 AM to 2:00 PM starting July 8" until Labor Day Weekend the Marriott-Slaterville Garden Market & Garage Sale will be at the City Hall Park located at 1570 West 400 North. There is plenty of parking, restroom facilities, and a playground for the kids. Bring over your garden produce or garage sale items, meet your friends and neighbors, and have an enjoyable Saturday morning. Remember to clean-up your space when you are done. Free Medicare Counseling One-on-one personal counseling is available through Weber Human Services. Counselors will help at no cost with questions on prescription drug coverage, Medicare Advantage Plans, initial enrollment, income subsidies for medications, along with help with medical billing problems and mix-ups that haven't been resolved. Also, if you think you have been the victim of any Medicare fraud or abuse, program counselors are available to help. The Mosquito Busters, a mosquito elimination service provider, is hosting its inaugural Family Awareness Fest on Saturday June 30th, as a culmination of the National Mosquito Control Awareness Week, June 24"' -30'". Did you Know: • Mosquitoes are the world's deadliest animal? • Mosquitoes kill more than 700,000 each a year. • In 2007, West Nile Virus was found in 16 counties in Utah with 72 confirmed cases resulting in 7 deaths. Family Awareness Fest will include: • Date: Saturday, June 30'". • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. • Location: Slaterville Park, 250 N 2200 W. In conjunction with this event, we are hosting a Red Cross blood drive. Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Don't let it go to the mosquitoes!
