The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Tuesday, March 7, 1933. Have iorned a lot of linen. Called at Dora Holthers with portiers for pagent. Prepared lunch. Visited the 9 Ward Relief Society. Enjoyed the Theoloy lesson on coming fourth of Book of Mormon. Showed those present a Vol of Book of Mormon which is 103 ys old. One of the first five thousand printed. Owned by Dr E J Rich. Spent the evening making a scrap book of favorite poetry & clippings. Had a nice letter from Mary. Wednesday, March 8, 1933. This A.M. had a shampoo & marcel at Mrs Engstroms who has done my hair occasionaly for ten years. Was a guest at Literary Club of Mrs. N.J. Thomas. Mrs Farnsworth gave a book review of Prayers in a Horses Ear. A Japanese story written by a girl who had a Japanese father & an American girl. Met Mrs Parry at Jeaucroft factory & arranged for 2000 yds of Red Cross shirting to be cut in shirts. People do not lack strength. They lack will. Victor Hugo. Just heard over radio. |
