The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Thursday, September, 7 1933. Drove thro London a real City on sighn on road Brides get Showers Grooms get Thunder. Another What is the difference between a shake and a flee? Ans A snake crawls on its own belly & a flee is not so particular. At Michigan Theater Sign Dont gambel with death. Sighn Board black & white checkered board. Passed thro Paris. Spent the afternoon a Toronto Fair a National fair & fair fine. Toronto has a population of 500000 lovly brick building & many factories. Lake Onterio beautiful many fine homes beautiful location. University of London etc drove 85 mi to Nigria Falls & saw them lighted. Friday, September 8, 1933. Retired at 2 A.M. in nice clean cabins 35 mi from Rochester N.Y. At 10 A.M. we all ate nice ripe peaches off the trees for breakfast and went on our way rested & refreshed a slight rain had made everything look beautiful. Many fine orchards and vineyards. Most delicious fruit along the road for sale. Very fine farms & buildings beautiful trees no canning factories to be seen but beautiful stone homes. At one time all land here had to be drained. Arrived at Rochester about noon a very interesting city. |
