Show Saturday, March 11, 1933. Last night Terrrable earth quake in Cal. All along the cost line from San Deigo to Santa Barbera north severe quakes from 6.55 P.M. until 7 A.M. 21 quakes. Long Beech suffered the greatest disaster. In Las Angeles 57 deaths reported and many dead and injured 1500 the report at 8 A.M. today we are very anxious as Thair and family are living at Ventura north of L.A. 75 mi. have cleaned home and also listened to grand opera over Radio from Metropolitan in N.Y. Treistan. Snow mostly gone. Sunday, March 12, 1933. Prepared a late breakfast. Margret went to Sunday School. Held Relief Society Union meeting in 12 Ward. A very good attendance. Practised for the Pagent The Glory of Women Hood which Mt Ogden Stake & Ward R.S. will put on Mar 4th. Attended Sacrament meeting. Two returned missionaries spoke very interestingly. Still report quakes in Cal. Have had no word from Thair & family who are in Ventura Cal. |
