At one oclock I went to Acacia Luncheon at Lillie Burtons. Mrs J. L. Blaylock gave a fine talk on the Phillipian Ils. I called into Cleones. Came home and was not able to get in the house forgetting my key so called on Mrs. Peterson xxx do. Heavy earth quake in Southern Cal especially bad in Long Beach and Las Angeles where 1500 injured people were reposted over Radio at 9 P.M. too place there at five thirty P.M. most towns and cities were affected. We have listened very anxiously as Dr Thair & family are located at Ventura about 70 mi N of L.A. Earth quake reported in Cal.
