Death Claims Paris LDS Worker, 95 Special to The Tribune MONTPELIER, IDAHO Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Rich, 95, a lifelong resident of Paris, Idaho, died Thursday in a Montpelier hospital of causes incident to age. She was born Jan. 3, 1860, at Grantsville, Utah, a daughter of Daniel and Mary Hainis Jacobs. When she was 4 years of age, her parents moved from Grantsville to St. Charles, Idaho. She was married to Amasa Mason Rich Sept. 29, 1880, in the old LDS Endowment House in Salt Lake City, and they made their home at Paris. She taught school in Bern, 1887 and 1888, while her husband filled a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She was the mother of seven sons and daughters, four of whom survive Daniel L. Rich and Dr. Spencer H. Rich of Paris; Dr. Charles O Neal Rich of Salt Lake City and Dr. Reed J. Rich of Montpelier. Funeral services will be held in the Paris First Ward LDS Chapel Monday at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the Daniel C. Rich home in Paris Sunday afternoon and Monday morning until time of service.Burial will be in Paris Cemetery under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
