Senior From S.L. Heads Harvard student group S.S. Tribune June 15th 1955 A Harvard University senior from Salt Lake City has been named chairman of the Harvard Student Council Committee on Religion. He is Richard Bushman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bushman, 994 Military Dr. HIS COMMITTEE is seeking to learn what factors in college life affect student religious outlooks, and how the religious life of students fits into successful liberal education. Formed by the student council to study the increased interest of Harvard undergraduates in the religion, the committee is utilizing questionnaires, interviews and discussion forums in seeking information. MR. BUSHMAN, who interrupted his college career to serve a two year mission in New England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, is supervisor for the Mutual Improvement Assn. in the New England area. An honor student in history, he is preparing his senior thesis on The Expulsion of the Latter day Saints From Jackson County, Missouri. He plans to attend graduate school and ultimately teach college level history.
