19 Bus Cavalcade Salt Lake Trib Sept 13 55 Choir Croup Tours Scenic Alpine Zone By Associated Press INTERLAKEN, SWITZERLAND The 600 singers, technicians and family members of the Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir took a bus trip through the Swiss Alps Monday. In a cavalcade of 19 buses, the group went on a spectacular round trip from Bern to Luzern and Interlaken, two of Switzerlands major tourist spots. The choir Sunday sang at the formal dedication of the first LDS temple on the European continent, at Zollikofen near Bern. Leaders Attend The dedication was conducted by David O. McKay, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. With the church leader were Spencer W. Kimball, Ezra Taft Benson, Richard L. Evans and Henry D. Moyle, members of the Council of Twelve. Samuel E. Bringhurst, president of the new temple, and Edward O. Anderson, Salt Lake City architect designing the structure, also participated in the historic ceremonies. Visit Old City Monday morning choir members were shown through the old city of Luzern and later took a trip on Lake Luzern, site of the William Tell story. In the afternoon the troupe retturned to Bern by way of Interlaken, over mountain passes offering a fine view of the snow covered Alps. The troupe is scheduled to travel to Zurich, Switzerlands largest city, Tuesday to prepare for the choirs next concert on Friday. Zurich music lovers are looking forward to the concert after the high praise the choir drew Monday from Bern newspapers on the concert there last Saturday. E. O. Anderson, S. E.
