Show Wednesday, March 1, 1933. Have a buisy morning at home. This afternoon attended Mrs Jensens lecture course.She gave a book review of Mobie Dick and finished King Lear review. Went shopping with Dora. We had drawn 300.00 Relief Society Saving acct out of the Commercial Bank hopeing to place it in Postal Saving Bank but after consulting Attorney J. Holther learned we had best not deposit it in any individuals name and they would not accept it in as a corperation so we put it in Drs safety deposit box in First National for awhile until we can place it safety somewhere. Thursday, March 2, 1933. I have spent today working on scrap book for D.U.P. at 12 noon I went to Dr Pettys office to have empressions taken for new teith. At three oclock I attended a Relief Society Board meeting. Prepared dinner after which I worked on scrap book until ten thirty P.M. Quake, flood and war & strike in Japan. 1500 killed in China. The whole world seems in great trouble. First National Bank refused to let Mt Ogden Stake Relief Society draw any from our Savings acct we have with them. Many Dead; Houses Demolished; Fire Follows Earth Shock Japan. |
