Show Friday, September 15, 1933. Columbus Ohio. Oertel gave a very nice Luncheon at Sargent at Arms for me Mrs Baxter, Mrs Hannialle, Mrs Fairfield, Mrs Jones and others present after this we went shopping in a very interesting Store Lozerous. Dr & Mrs Russell Means called & spent most of the evening. It was he who operated Mary and gave her such fine care without any charge. He cared for her about six months. Saturday, September 16, 1933. Columbus Ohio. This A.M. Oscar, Oertel Carol & I started for the Caves of Ohio about sixty five mi from Columbus. We spent an hour or more seeing them went down under the ground about 300 ft & traveled several mi. the stalactites & stalacmites were many and different to most. The formation was beautifully colored from the iorn deposit in the rock. We enjoyed a very tasty picnic and returned by a different road than the one on our way out. Oscar taught me something about driving the car & I drove most of the way home with his help. We crossed over some covered bridged old timers. |
