ELECISIEG SCIENCE PEE fe 5 On April 9, Ben Lomond's first annual nominating convention to select finalists for each of the student-body offices will be held. The convention will acquaint the student-body with some of the nominations of our national conventions staged by the twomajor political parties. Delegates will be selected in the homerooms on the basis of one for every ten students. For example, a homeroom with 30 students would be allowed three delegates. Before being selected as a delegate, however, the student must state to the class who he would be voting for if chosen. Other students will then vote for the delegate who best represents his own feelings. When chosen as a delegate, the studenc is committed to vote those preferences on the first ballot, After the first ballot, the delegate is released from all home room committments. That's when the fun be- gins and when the political wheelers and dealers will go into action. When _ two finalists for each office have been been selected, the convention will be concluded. All students will vote in the final election to be held April 12. The new officers will be announced in an assembly on Friday the 13th.
