The Company has also contracted for and built several houses, completing them from the cellar to the chimney top. To the machinery already in use, the Company has added a first-class moulding machine, scroll saw, turning lathe and other valuable etceteras, enabling it to make every varie¬ty of homemade furniture and general cabinet work to suit customers. I., superin¬tended by Moses Thatcher, Esq., which occupies a large, fine building, and does a heavy business; Dr. O. C. Ormsby's Drug Store, a well appointed and justly popular institution; the United Order Manufacturing and building Company, previously referred to; the foundry, previously alluded to; T. B. Cardon, a first class watch maker and jeweler, etc. does a good business and is about to put up a large rock building adjoining Dr. Ormsby's store, for the purpose of carrying on his various occupations; Gustav Lundberg's furniture manufactory, where the best school desks (patented by himself) as well as articles of a gener¬al character are made; Carl C. Johnson, toy and musical instrument depot, who also runs a small department of the "art preservative;" John Ash & Sons, gun and locksmiths; and Peter A. Nelson, boot and shoe manufacturer. Martineau, Henry Ballard, Robert Davidson, C. D. Fjelsted and B. M. Lewis; Recorder, T. B. Cardon; School Trustees, Charles O. Card, Alvin Crockett and James A. Leishman; Justices of the Peace, H. K. Cran¬ney and Chas. O. Card; Constable, Eli Bell. Logan is the county seat of Cache County. The following are the county officers, Milton D. Hammond, Probate Judge; M. W. Merrill. Chas. O. Card, F.
