Show Marriott-Slaterville City History November 2018 possible application for the 2019 funding cycle. This grant money must be spent on projects benefitting primarily low and moderate income persons. Mr. Morris presented the Capital Investments Plan and the Council reviewed projects that have been completed, as well as one, five and ten-year projects. A new ADA compliant pedestrian ramp with all associated traffic signs and crosswalk striping will be constructed across 400 North and 1600 W. This is not a school crossing. Council approved authorization of up to $15,000 for construction of this pedestrian crosswalk. Council members approved an enhanced service fee [secondary water] rebate for some residents in the Morris Meadows Subdivision. The secondary water system has not yet been installed, resulting in a handful of residents not receiving those services they have been paying for. Bits and Pieces Brig Gerrit Scheer, son of Jeremy and Kristen Scheer was born on November 26, 2018. Shane Cronquist passed away on November 2, 2018. Marian Buck Creamer, 93, passed away on November 16, 2018. U.S. Senate hopeful Mitt Romney and U. S. Rep. Rob Bishop, seeking his ninth term, met for a joint campaign stop on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Jeremiah's Restaurant. Both are Republicans. The Utah Department of Transportation is doing some creative financing to allow nine Northern Utah cities to complete needed road projects sooner than they otherwise would have. 1200 West in Marriott-Slaterville is one of those projects. |
