During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Tribune Jany 15 5 Family Fetes Mom at 90 Special to The Tribune SPANISH FORK Mrs. Alice Huff, native resident of this area, celebrated her 90th birthday anniversary Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.L. Beckstrom of Lake Shore, with whom she has been making her home for some time. She was born Jan. 14, 1865, at Fountain Green, Sanpete County, to John and Mary Stafford Green, early Utah pioneers. She attended the public schools in her native town and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. At an early age she sang in the Sunday School choir and also in the ward choir where her father was choir leader. She was married to Isaac Huff, Nov. 24, 1882, in the Salt Lake endowment house. She is the mother of 13 sons and daughters, eight of whom are still living. They are William and Harvey Huff, Spanish Fork; Alma, Provo; Charles and Manson, Castle Gate, Utah; Mrs. Earl (Iva) Barney, Spanish Fork; Mrs. J.L. (Edna) Beckstrom, Lake Shore; Mrs. Walter (Sylvia) Barney, Castle Gate. She has 61 grandchildren, 123 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren, making to total posterity of 208. |
