Show Dedication Marriott-Slaterville City experienced a loss when our City Magistrate, A. Glen McFarland, died on July 23, 2004, at the age of 78. He had served in that position since incorporation, and performed his duties efficiently, promptly and willingly. He and his wife Lila have been life-long members of the community, and have been an important influence for good to many of our citizens. Glen has served ably and well in both civic and ecclesiastical matters. He has been our friend, and valued our friendship. To quote one of his favorite couplets: True friends are like diamonds, precious but rare. False friends are like autumn leaves, found everywhere. With thanks for being a true friend to our city, we dedicate this history to A. Glen McFarland 1926-2004 |
