Show Saturday June 6 Cont. the 50th anniversary of his graduating class at Cornell. We had malts, etc. for our supper on the way home. Jannie came & spent eve. with Nan. Ruby spent a long eve with Harold when Edith in a way left her in charge of him. Rather a imposition on Ruby but she takes it all in her stride. A late bath after Ruby got home & I to bed Laurie stayed to 1130 and Nan enjoyed the evening visited. Rain in the evening & all night. Sunday June 7th Rain which had fallen all night abated a while in the am & the sun came out. Janet phoned early to say good bye. She & Laurie leave on their trip at 930 am. by train. Thus my entire family is away from home. Edith, Wade & Melva & Glenn in Calif. all others headed east & to New York exposition. Had a card from Elizabeth who was in Mo. & said she saw Whitesville on the map. We had several good programs on radio read the interesting ball game between San Francisco & Phila. The former won and retained the 1st place in the league. More rain in pm & cloudy all rest of time. Edith phoned from Los Angeles. They are having a nice time & Wade is doing very well. Nan & I out for a ride in later pm. to for a |
