Show Saturday June 13 Cont Ruby not at home. Nan & I played checkers & read the paper & to be early. Sunday June 14 Flag day. Nan put our flag out to in the lively June breeze. A rather late breakfast after which I settled down to a ball game in New York The Yankees won from the White Sox. Nan went to Melba for a short visit & was home in time for the good dinner which Ruby prepared for us. Edith & family got home in early pm. Wade, Melva little Glen and Janet came to see us. They had a good time. Edith came later & all of her trip which was marred by her lame knee she sat out on the terrace this pm. Sunday June 14 Cont. Ruby went to the Lagoon with her daughter & grandchildren Nan & I went for a lovely ride out in the country to Syracuse & surrounding little towns. Still a nice day, but some rain later in the night. Nan helped me to bed and read a while to me but had to quit ad Bad legs. Monday June 15 My knee sorer & more lane during the night & through the day. Nan took her car to the shop for adjustment Stalled with Mrs Hedenstrom & to Helen Hurding ac a woman to come to work next week. Ruby has decided to go to Spocane. She will take Harold as far as Pocatello & leave him there. We had an agreeable trip both fond of each other. |
