Show Thursday August 27 My leg still quite bad. A fine day Martha came to do her usual work. Maudie got a good lunch for us four. A bright day, but cool. Nan went to market for supplies. Wade came with the chair representative from Salt Lake & I decided on a new chair. Listened endlessly to the Demm. Convention quite spirited. Took Martha home at 430 & went for a ride out to Scotts after. A very cool eve. Dee came home for a short visit. He spent a little time with us in pm. Still more convention in eve until bedtime. My leg some better Friday August 28 Still quite cool but fine weather. Nan took her car to the shop after breakfast. Maudie with us as usual. My leg feeling a little better! Spent a miserably fussy day. Maudie left after 130 pm. Nan & I started to plan a neighborhood party for new comers in the neighborhood. This Acacia Day but did not go to Bertha (Reeder) Richards. Dorothy Margaret Rosabelle & Mrs Silver & Daisy Romney called in after the meeting. Nan & I went to the grocery store. In the later eve. Don and Elizabeth visited. |
