Show Wednesday July 29 Usual routine this am. Maudie & I had lunch about usual time. Nan went for her pm out & met Mary at 1 pm Took a pie & some flowers over to Janet who is still resting Maudie stayed with me a while after lunch. Got a letter from Edith. All well with them Elizabeth came at 5 pm and shampooed & curled my hair Nan & Mary Lundgren arrived 6 pm & we had a little supper After visiting a while We took Mary home & had a nice ride More checkers in eve My leg gave me trouble but better later. Thursday July 30 A bright am. Still pretty warm but some cooler. Maudie on the job& Martha doing her usual Thursday work. Nan went to market for supplies & to Modlings for a gift. I feeling some better but my leg still bothersome. Ray working in the garden. Everything there looks very beautiful. I did some reading (Readers Digest) and played some checkers with Nan. A very hot day. Elizabeth came pm. & combed & arranged my hair. Nan & I took Martha home. It was unbelievably hot at 100 degrees so we did not go further for a ride. Blanche Johnson came in for a nice visit. More reading & checkers in eve. |
