Show Sunday June 28 Cont. A rather warm day and we did not choose to go out until 6 pm. Took flowers & papers to Fred at St Benedicts Hospital. Called at Dee Hospital where Nan visited two friends Mrs Beesswell also Lora Williams whoes husband died Friday while she was still sick in hosp. Called in at Don Barneys for a short visit with Mrs B & inquired about Gordon who is suffering & severe strain Went to Mary Lundgrens with invitation to her to come home with us but she was too tired. Finished the evening with a pleasant ride Combe road & so to home. No word of our next door neighbors Don & Elizabeth came for a pleasant visit just before bed time Monday June 29 Maudie came & got meals & cleared up after as usual and also did a little washing. We had a good lunch and she left at 145 pm. Edith visited for a few minutes Ruby is investigating a new job with the Rice Kimballs. Another nice day but plenty warm. Laurie came to see us the first visit since his trip. Heard Janet are both very tired after their pleasure exertion. We ourselves felt ready to rest a while as it is a very warm day. Visit with Edith & some checkers before bed time. |
