Show Tuesday 30 1964 Warm again today at 90 degrees Maudie did her usual work. We busied ourselves with some reading & radio. In later pm I got dressed up (my hair all curled by Nan) & Nan took me to Hospital board meeting at 4 pm. Rather a long & hard session considering medical Staff organization & reports of committee. A big institution with very large growth in immediate future thru addition of David O McKay hospital to combine as a Complex. Very tired in eve. Played checkers for relief & early to bed. Wednesday July 1 1964 More warm weather but Nan & I (with Edith) ventured out down town for an wrap (a mans kimono) & to Elizabeths to take Russell acap to him (he is working there) Maudie did her usual work & had lunch ready when we got home at 1215. We have the cooler on and it is nice to be able to rest inside a while. After resting at home we went out for a ride. Betty & her 6 children came to help us in our rest. Two fine big boys & Patty a fine young lady & 3 little ones. A pleasant eve. a nice ride & tired to bed |
