Show Friday August 7 1964 Much pain in my leg this am so I had breakfast in bed. Nan gave me massage I felt some relief. Maudie gave us a good dinner before leaving at 130. Here we are Nan & I in a nice, comfortable tidy house to enjoy today My leg bothering me a lot. Case Vlaanderen came for a visit in the pm phoned Janet. She is feeling some better. Zella is much more settled down today a for sister Hortense has things in hand about dear brothers funeral. Marie came & made a fund checks. Nan went to a party at Cromptons at 645 Edith came over later stayed all night as Harold is in the hospital Nan home at 1145 after I was asleep. Phoned Janet who is about the same taking it easy. Saturday Aug 8 1964 My leg a little less bothersome today but still very bad. Also bothered with my bowels I spent a rather nervous, upset day. Margaret came and visited and we got caught up in a little family news. Arch & Peg settled in Seattle for the present but expect to come to Salt Lake in Sept. Marie brot us copies of a calendar of Nans illness which we had compiled Nan doing the housework. She got us a nice lunch. Enjoyed Margarets visit until Susan came & took her home at 530 PM warm day (even hot with Ray working in the garden. Harold in the hospital Edith sleeps at our house. |
