Show Monday June 15 Cont Ruby has had much talk with Edith who will miss her sadly. Ruby slept at our house for her last home still attached to Nan & me & reluctant to leave. Nan and I out for a nice ride in eve. Tuesday July 16 Ruby got up and helped me with dressing & had breakfast with us. Nan seems quite able to get around. She attended to watering & put on breakfast. My right hip and by very bad hard to get around. A nice bright day for Ruby & Harold to start out Tuesday July 17 Cont They left at 11 am to go to Pasadina I spent time rounding up someone to work on Rubys place Nan put on the lunch which we had left over from Sunday. Ruby left with all good wishes & a small gift from both Nan & me. Rested a while in pm. Out 4 pm out in car with Nan down town & got canister set at Gold Stamp & kitchen mats at Sears. Called & took Mary home with a parcel of clothes maternity clothes which we loaned to Betty Paul. Called at Blue Onion & got a drink which did us for supper. Edith visited a while in eve. Nan & I played checkers & read paper until bath time and so to bed (No word from our travelers) |
