Show Saturday July 25. Another hot day Thermo 92 degrees. Nan & I enjoying ourselves being alone in a nice clean house but rather lonely without calls from Rosabelle and Edith. Janet not very well she is told to keep quiet ac her heart. I wrote a letter to Leota and me to Leila. Elizabeth came in to see us. Went out for a ride rather late in the eve. when it had cooled off some. Had a nice little letter from Arch who is in New York. Janet stayed in bed not feeling any stronger. Sunday July 26 My leg very bad and I have a sick headache. Spent a very miserable day. A little bitter in pm. when Dorothy Ralph and Howard visited. They brought word of folks in Seattle Alls well with them. Nan went out for an hour and brought her friend Zina Clifton who visited until early eve. I did not feel able to go out in the car. Phoned Dr Olson & got a little comfort from him. Nan very devoted we got one comfortable as much as possible Altogether a miserable day. Played checkers with Nan to divert my mind until after 11 pm. |
