Show Tuesday July 14 Cont No word yet from the Madsons and Margaret. Don to the hospital today for a check up on his kidney stone. Laurie phoned re U.C. Dividend & we will hold a Dee Co meeting soon. Maudie doing her usual work & Nan busying herself with many odd jobs. I listened at intevals all day to the Republican convention which the news made a valiant effort to keep alive. Marie came at 730 & we made checks & got a balance a pretty good one, too. At 8 pm Nan drove out to Myers Mortuary ac death of a friend. Edith & I with her for the ride Several friends came to the car to greet ave. More convention & some checks until bed time. Wednesday July 15 We are still having warm weather. Dorothy came for a nice visit & she had lunch with us. Ralph here on business called & took her home at 330 pm. Maudie got a half month salary check & seemed pleased. She gave in a nice lunch before going at 130 Edith visited a while in the pm. Got a card from Arch, but not much news. Dorothy tells us they are getting nicely fixed up there and enjoying it. My bowels have bothered me day. Nan & I took steps for relief at home until 12 midnight. |
