Show Tuesday August 25 Had rather a bad night with my leg and bowels Nan gave me an enema at 6 and I got up & dressed and had breakfast. Maudie came & did her usual work. Nan feeling pretty well. Ralph called in in pm. He in Ogden on business. A man came to see about floor for new East porch. Played checkers with Nan. My eyes not very good. In eve my leg suddenly got better. We went for a ride taking Edith with us. Harold went to work today which is a good thing all around. Listened to much of Democratic Convention. Very interesting. Wednesday August 26 My leg some better this am. A nice am. Maudie at work. Nan about OK and so we start out on a good day. Lots of talk on radio about Democratic Convention in New York. Today the President (Johnson) is to be nominated & a vice pres. Nans pm out. Maudie & I had lunch together. Nan met Mary down town for lunch & she spent the pm shopping & visiting. Mary came home with Nan & the four of us had supper together. Maudie left soon after. I took Mary home at 830. Edith with us. My leg very painful after I got home Nan & I played checkers & so to bed. |
