Show Sunday August 9 1964 A ball game in am. but I slept thru much of it as I seemed very tired. Maudie came to have dinner with us and helped Nan put on a good meal. Betty visited her mother am. Janet feeling about the same still inactive and not liking it. Wade & Melba came to see us. Edith visited with them for dinner. I am still bothered with my legs but had a fairly comfortable day. Still warm weather Harold still in hospital not feeling very well of course. Nan took Edith and me out for a nice ride in eve. Gary Madson came for a nice delayed visit. He is going to part time teach at U of U while he works for his Masters degree Edith with us again at night. Monday August 10 A fine day somewhat cooler with some wind. Much talk on radio of wars in Greece and lots of political talk keeps us worried more or less. Got word of a serious accident to little David Dee. He climbed up on the counter in grocery store wiseway and pulled the cash register over which fell on his head. Much anxiety. Tom & Litz took him to Salt Lake hospital on adrm from here and his condition said to be hopeful. This our wedding anniversary but no particular celebration so many things going on Janets condition about the same. It has been an upset for her. Davids accident. Nan out in eve. Mr. Hemeretta Grill came & we read poetry until 11 pm. Edith with me all nite Nan home 1030 PM. |
