Show Andres & then for a long ride to all towns around Bay including Rosies home at Corona del Mar. Tired & to bed after getting settled Dee got a room & stayed all night. Fine weather & fine see air. Sunday 19 Slept lat & had a passable breakfast at the coffee shop. Enjoying the view from many points in hotel. Reading in lounge. Diner at the main dining room Dee went home. We 3 to church via taxi (A good church & a good attendance for family night. A Brother Johnston brot us home. Nan not feeling well & to bed early. Monday 20. My birthday gave me perfume & Edith gave a lovely Xmas candle from her & Margaret & Janet Dee & Sally called on their way to San Diego & Edith went with them. A little rain this am & account of a small earth Monday 20 Cont quake at Long Beach . Nan feeling OK this am & I a little better than usual. A little rain clearing in eve. Tuesday 21 Cards from Laurie & Janet. Mary Goodman Nans sister Jessie Rees from Marie card from Dorothy Breakfast at Jolly Roger. From hotel Lounge watched a big tide come in with lovely frengis of spray. Watched and watched, enthralled. The sun out bright all day. Nan read the Winston Churchill book to me very interesting. Took taxi to Victor Hugo. Had a fairly good lunch & walked around the grounds. Home via taxi (about 2 blocks) Edith, Dee & Sally returned from San Diego. We went with them to gift shops up town. Dee & Sally left for home. Edith visited in our room. More reading |
