Show Sunday 4 Sunday School 10 am A fine, sunny day. Home at 1130. Nan did her belated home work. Called for Edith at 2 pm She took Nan & me for dinner at Maddox. A good dinner & agreeable visit. We left Edith Wade & got home 5 pm. Nan went out for rest of pm & eve. I at home with radio & TV. A sunny day but still lots of snow around. Monday 5 To hospital 1030 pm for chest plate to be made. Called around for foods for this eve. Mrs. Lesnen, Mrs. Law and ten interns wives came for a pleasant evening. A Mrs. White read the Michael Angels book we had good refreshments prepared by Mrs. Parker & a pleasant visit after. Guests left at 11 pm. (In pm went to Mrs Saleman & had dresses fitted.) Tuesday 6. I was tired spent am. lazying around. Nan had energy to clear away party mess. Sent salad and rolls to Rosabelle & Janet Laurie got confirmation of our reservation at the Fairmount for the 15th Wednesday 7 Began reading Readers Digest of January on the machine. Many fine articles. To L.L. Club at 1 with Marion Pugmire Vin Ward hostess did not attend ac her husbands death. Luncheon & a Gene Browning about Oxford Univeristy Nans pm out. Henry came for me to sign a note Marie came for extension Later Mary & Jack Brennan Joe & Rosabelle visited. A pleasant evening Nan home before they went at 11. |
