Show Monday 5 I feeling stronger this am and have a hopeful spirit. Warmer weather and a grudging promise of Spring. Began reading from Unlermeyers collection Helen Gareaspy brot my coat home finished. It is very nice. Nan had a man & woman whom she had known a long time ago to visit. Mr. & Mrs. Elskins. Later we went out to do a little running around. Nans banking & to Sears got bath mats. Radio & TV to bed time. Tuesday 6 Sunny weather more like Spring. Feeling much better this a.m.Did more reading by machine. Peggy called also Edith Elizabeth and Zella Walker and Janet all cheerful and well wishing. To hair dresser at 3 & had a nice hair do. Got groceries at market. Had pork chops given by Paul for supper. Read lots of poetry in eve. Wednesday 7 Feeling stronger with more interest in life this am. Spent time and thought on a talk for hospital employees party Put on my new red dress and wore my new black fur coat. With Laurie and Janet to hospital dinner at Rutheys. Awards given to 11 employees who had been at hospital from 20 to 25 years (including Mike who has served 48 years) A touching occasion for me. I have been with the hospital over 30 2 years. Home with Laurie at 10 pm. Thursday 8. Got up feeling I was through |
