Show Sat. 20 Cont account storm said to be the worst in 20 years. We did not venture out. Mary car stalled on 27th St. hill. I reading Digest & watching a game. I have not felt well all day. Sunday 21 No church this am. we are snowed in and roads are bad. Briant came & made paths. Laurie walked over for a nice visit. A good saltless dinner at home. Only communication with outsde except by phone. Good programs on TV. A cosy day. Nan has a cold result of ambitious snow shoveling. I feel much better today Roads somewhat cleared, but much trouble for cars. Monday 22 The sun came out with blinding light on a Monday 22 Cont. on a snow covered earth. No change in temperature hovering around zero. I am tired of being house bound & feel weak and useless. Reading & phoning took up my time. Henry came to visit pm. Taps in my bathroom frozen. Nan ventured out early quiet eve with checkers, etc. Tuesday 23 Bright sun this am. but no warmer. Feeling some better this am. Nan got busy on cleaning drawers I did some of my dresser drawers. Out for a ride pm. The days are longer now. I reading by machine & Nan read from U.S. News to me the whole world in an uproar. I am on a salt free diet at Dr. Petersons prescription and Nan has has taken to Metrical so there is no riotons eating around here. |
