Show Wednesday 20 Cont meeting. A rather long session. Had friendly (almost affectoinat greeting from Board members. Laurie brot me home. Nan out later pm. but home early. Reading Chinese Bell Murders by Robert Van Gulik. Chinese atmosphere strange. Thursday 21 Arch & Peggy phoned this am. anticipating my visit over Christmas. Weather Weather clear & warmer. Nan & I took gifts around A nice ride and Christmas spirit in eve. Gary called. Elizabeth & Don came. She put in c for me. Friday 22. Nan put in a busy day decorating arranging rooms, etc. Melba & Betty had lunch with us. Margaret DeVrie Friday Cont brought cookies. I to hospital at 4 too late for employees tea. Nan and some errands & later she & I had a nice ride around delivering her gifts Saturday 23 Lots of Christmas cards and busy preparations for am Rosabele, Alice, Charles Jodee, Jane & later Hetzie came. Also Fred & Barbara Tim & Margaret Barker with 3 children came Also Adam Patterson & Norma Rich Johnston & Blanche Charles, Aunt Belle the star of the occasion. A very sociable time. Sunday 24 Nan & I to Salt Lake at noon. I to Peggys & Nan to her sisters Happy Christmas spirit at Peggys. All went to Zolas in eve for dinner & gifts. Remembering parties at our house in the past with so many young people. |
