Show Wednesday 17 Fair weather but cold. Reading am. At 1 pm Janet called and we went to L.L. Club at Andersons. A big crowd many guests invited to swell the crowd to 30 Luncheon, followed by a reading of a modern play (perish the name) by Lila Bremhall. Janet brot me home and visited a while. Nan out p.m. She came at 8 & I rode out to Bettys with her Played a game of checkers before going to bed. Thursday 18 D now all over everything. I to hospital 9 am Dr Peterson gave me a Thurs 18 Cont preliminary going over with some instructions Farther examination later. In pm. down town for candy at Hunters & groceries at Wise Way. Peggy phoned me pm. We had a nice visit discarded Homers Daughter & began to read Readers Digest. Many interesting articles. Our usual game of checkers before giving to bed. Friday 19 Helen Gajewsky came this am & took my fur coat to be remodeled. Snow & more snow until pm. when it cleared off. Good books to give to Maren Ania expecting them to come up. Started to storm eve. and turned into a blizzard by morning. Cold weather Saturday 20 We are snowed in and snow still falling No visit from Pegg & family |
