Show Tuesday 22 After breakfast. Nan, Edith & I went for a walk along the main street calling in a few stores to look around no purchases except a grab bag at a novelty store & we all got cheated. Walked in garden & sat on terrace to watch the sea. Lunch at hotel dining room. A beautiful day. Rosabelle phoned they will not be here for Thanksgiving. Real winter in Utah & surrounding country. I phoned Craig in eve & had nice visit. Edith with us in our room in eve. We had fruit & milk for a room service supper. Nan read the Churchill book aloud To bed in good time Thursday 23 Thursday 23. Up in good time & had breakfast at hotel. Nan read Churchill to us. Dressed in our best. Waited for Max & family to come. All (7) had dinner at hotel not so awfully good. Nan went with her son and family (June, Craig & Severell to visit with them until Sunday. Edith & I rested in room, went out for a walk. Sent cards to Jeanette, Leah, Diana and Mary Goodman and Henry and Rosabelle Friday 24 Slept in Ediths room last night up in good time & had bath in my room. Breakfast in coffee shop. A lazy day around the hotel with TV, radio, Edith began to rest aloud. A Stanley Gardner mystery with Henry Mason doing the soloing. Took a walk down the street took a look at the ocean. Had fruit & milk in our room Harold phoned Edith just home news |
