Show Friday 1st Had rather a poor night but felt OK in am. Bright, sunny weather. Walked down to Blums for lunch. A nice place. Walked along Wilshire Blvd. looking. I sat in a little store while others went out looking for a new book. We finished Chruchill in eve. parting with an interesting friend. We came back to room where I rested. Dee came at 5 & took us to his home for a good dinner & visit with Sally (who played her organ for us) & her mother. Rain came on in & continued during night. Dee took us over to see Mays & other fine stores. Home at 9 & so to bed .Sat Dec 2, 1961 Dee came at 11. We had a little lunch before going Dec 2. Cont to the station. We had a long wait ac changing to a substitute plane. Aboard at 230. Rough going as far as Las Vegas. Nan rather sick. Ar. Salt Lake 610 pm. Scott & 3 children met us. Had supper at Harmons on No Temple. Stephen sick & did not eat with us. Scott brot us home & took Nan to a party at which she was hostess. Edith with us to our house & Wade came & took her home. Nan home in good time & so we were glad to get to bed. Sunday 3 At 5 am was taken with a bad vomiting spell. Nan doctored me until 8 am when I got settled down. In bed most of the day getting up in my chair in later pm. Many calls of welcome home. Felt quite done up. Monday 4 Had breakfast in bed. Feeling some better, but still quite poorly. Sat in my chair |
