Show Saturday 16 Cont. Mr Shreeve fixed terrace worked steadily on Christmas cards & got all done by 4 pm. Marie & her young son Tommy had lunch with us. Still deep winter. Tommy shoveled snow nearly all day. Sunday 18. A blizzard over blowing all night with more snow. With more snow. The decorations on the terrace which Mr. Shreeve fixed yesterday were badly blown We did not venture out to Sunday School. Nan went out to get supplies And she found difficult driving Laurie & Janet came home from Calif on train (no flying) We had a cosy dinner at home. In pm. Henry & Ida visited. Still fixing at our Xmas arrangements. Relief Society (Blanche & Norma) brot African violet plants to us. Sat nite to Mona Smith to hear childrens recital Jodie Janie Brabra & Bruce Played. Monday 18 Weather moderated today. The sun came out. I with Alice & Rosabelle to Drama Club party a 1 pm. Luncheon, carols & a reading by Lila Brimhall Nan busy with a multitude of arrangements. Mary Goodman, Martha Klemp & Margaret DeVries came for a Christmas visit bringing a cake Lots of Christmas cards. I sent 2 or 3 extra. Tuesday 19. To hairdresser 1 pm. With Nan to Dr 3 pm to Stephens Gifts & got several items. Heavy rain falling. Men finished outside decorations. The Bishopric came & brought candy. Wednesday 20 LL Club Luncheon 1 pm at Janet Ellises L which I left at 245 to go to hospital for H |
