Show Friday 11 Spent much of am on phone making various arrangements. The gardener working Mr. Shreeve doing occasional supervision. Mr. Rasmussen came & found much fixing to do with our water system. Making plans for Mothers Day flowers. Late night for stores, so Nan & I down to Home Furn & decided on a swing for terrace before supper. We played some checkers & went to bed tired. Saturday Margaret phoned she & Peggy will come up at noon. Phoned Mr. Barlow re heating Saturday 12 Cont which will not stop in spite of a fine May a.m. No gardeners nor watermen Margaret & Peggy came & brought several little gifts for Mothers Day. We went Bon Marche for lunch We took Edith out home after. Back at our home Peggy & Margaret gave account of their trip to New York trip to New York and we had a nice visit. Nan took a stew she had made & took it out & had lunch with Bettys children. I rested at home after company left. Nan home by 5 we spent eve playing checkers I beat Nan 12 ???!! |
