Show Friday July 31 Sunshine and heat again. Maudie at work as usual Ediths, Jeanette came in to report. Note had a call from Edith in Los Angeles last nite She will be home next Wednesday wrote a note to Molly (Fisher) Seamons on birth of her little son. Elizabeth mailed a package for me from her gift shop. Molly has a fine son born two weeks ago. Wrote a note to Barbara & Guy. Their Douglas is to be married Aug 7th. In the eve Nan & I down to Wests Jewelry & bought a silver dish to be sent to Douglas & brich Having trouble with my bowels. Nan gave attention at bed time & I was quite upset Janet about the same. Little Monette visited. They will be moving to an apartment tomorrow we were playing checkers till midnite. Saturday 1st Aug 1964 Thursday August 1st 1964 Nan and I alone in our glory in a nice tidy house. Rather a cloudy am. but still warm hot. We with our cooling system do not suffer from heat outside A late breakfast & a quiet day. Janet Mack & Richard mmitte came to visit. They left this pm. for an apartment on Canyon road. I had lletters from Fern. Leota and Lucille Hancock and a card from Rosabelle. Enjoyed the eve out on the terrace. Played some checkers & did reading of papers, etc. My leg has been quite bothersome at diner It has been a hot day. |
