Show Sunday August 23 We had rather a late breakfast and I went right out a ball game at 1015. My leg very disappointing as to programs. I had expected relief from Thursday shot. A fine day. Not much going on. Phone calls from Janet Elizabeth and Rosabelle. Nan had a visit from her Betty while I listened to the game. started Margaret & I found came to visit. They went to Lawrences while we were eating dinner which Nan & I brot home from Harmons. Later in pm. Maudie Belvan & children D Julie & Vicky made a nice visit. Edith stayed with me while Nan went out for an hour. To bed and home & tired but leg better Monday August 24 1964 Cool weather but and bright. Breakfast usual time session with the radio. Much talk of coming Democratic convention beginning Mon. eve. Maudie came & did her usual work leaving at 2 pm. Spent rather an uncomfortable day with pain. Played some checkers with Nan. My eyes not at all good. Nan left her car to be polished. Burt loaned us a fine new H64 Pontiac & we went for a nice ride in eve. Edith with was Harold at home so she did not stay at our house. My leg still bothering me. Nan takes me around in wheel chair. |
