Show Wednesday Sept 2, 1964 Nans birthday. She has born in 1900 so a little figuring will tell how old she is. Nan met Marg at 1 pm for lunch. Maudie and I spent a very comfortable pm as she is very attentive & knows just how. A pm. filled with visitors Dorothy & Margaret, Rosabelle and Edith Spent some time visiting before Ralph called to pick her up. Elizabeth came and later after others had gone Maudies day of visiting but I not feeling at my best. Maudie & I spent time together reading papers & playing checkers. Nan got home at 9 pm able a very pleasant birthday. She had many small gifts I gave her a 50 dollar bond. Edith in the eve. Altogether a company day but I still not feeling up to par. Thursday Sept. 3, 1964 Had a good night without any trouble of falling on the floor. Got up & dressed for a late breakfast with Nan & Maudie. Martha doing her usual. Had two early visitors Mrs N and Elizabeth which made me feel better. Sent a gift to Shirley who is in bed with arm operation. |
