Show It’s True, Life Starts at 80 The old folks had their "day" Wednesday in Salt Lake City. MORE THAN 5,500 senior citizens gathered at Liberty Park for the 87th annual Old Folks Day program which in¬cluded a band concert, pio¬neer dancing and a talent show. Perhaps the most popular feature was the free merry-go- round rides for all those over 80. Operators said the old¬sters couldn't get enough. INCLUDED in the morn¬ing's program were the wel¬coming address by John H. Vandenberg, chairman of the old folks central committee, pioneer dancers in costume and a waltz by Edward D. Jones, 94, Provo, and Marian Marchant, 19, queen of the Days of '47.
